About Me
I became a professional dog trainer in 1998, after working in day care and serving a training internship with the original Dog School of Leesburg, VA, where I worked as a Senior Instructor for five years. I then worked as a Senior Instructor for Doggy Do Right, in Leesburg, until 2008. At that time I decided to start my own company, in order to offer in-home training done the positive way. My experience has been one of hands on with many dogs over the years. I have also attended classes with local training clubs and private instructors, as well as yearly workshops and seminars. I was honored to be asked to present a seminar on APDT Rally (now World Cynosport Rally) Obedience in the past. And I was equally honored to have taught Rally over the past several years for Periland Agility. My dog, Hattie, and I are currently active competitors in CPE (Canine Performance Events) Agility, as well as NADAC (North American Dog Agility Council) Agility. I have also competed in the past in CDSP, AKC, and UKC Obedience, WCR, UKC and AKC Rally, as well as AKC and UKC Agility.
I am a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, the Mid-Atlantic Association of Professional Positive Pet Trainers, and Canine Performance Events Agility.
