I became a professional dog trainer in 1998, after working in day care and serving a training internship with the original Dog School of Leesburg, VA, where I worked as a Senior Instructor for five years.  I then worked as a Senior Instructor for Doggy Do Right, in Leesburg, until 2008.  At that time I decided to start my own company, in order to offer in-home training done the positive way.  My experience has been one of hands on with many dogs over the years.  I have also attended classes with local training clubs and private instructors, as well as yearly workshops and seminars.  I was honored to be asked to present a seminar on APDT Rally (now World Cynosport Rally) Obedience in the past.  And I was equally honored to have taught Rally over the past several years for Periland Agility.  My dogs and I are active competitors CPE (Canine Performance Events) Agility, and we have also competed in the past in CDSP, AKC, and UKC Obedience, WCR, UKC and AKC Rally, as well as AKC, UKC, and NADAC Agility.

I am a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, the Mid-Atlantic Association of Professional Positive Pet Trainers, and Canine Performance Events Agility.
